Emilie Heidemann has joined the staff of Unified Newspaper Group as a community reporter.
Heidemann, a Beaver Dam native, graduated from UW-Oshkosh in 2017 with a bachelor of arts in journalism and a minor in political science. She most recently was a freelance contributor for Isthmus in Madison, and previously worked for the Lodi Enterprise and Poynette Press.
While at Oshkosh, Heidemann worked as a reporter and editor for the student newspaper, The Advance-Titan. She also was awarded WNA Foundation internships with The Brillion News and the Waushara Argus.
Heidemann is taking over for Bill Livick, who was the Oregon community reporter for the past two months after more than a decade as a government reporter.
