KENOSHA – Randy Rickman is leaving his position as publisher of the Kenosha News to take over a similar role with the (Eau Claire) Leader-Telegram and Adams Publishing Group, the News announced Friday.
After 2½ years in Kenosha, Rickman will leave at the end of the year to join the Leader-Telegram. Rickman, a Wisconsin Newspaper Association board member, will also work with other APG newspapers in Wisconsin in his new role.
Rickman served as the third Kenosha News publisher in the last 57 years. During his tenure, he took steps to improve the newspaper’s finances while also making its news coverage more local.
Tom Yunt, chief operating officer of Kenosha News parent company United Communications Corp., credited Rickman with re-engaging the newspaper throughout the community.
