ASHLAND – Peter Annin, a veteran journalist who now works at Northland College, has published a new edition of his book “The Great Lakes Water Wars.”
The 2018 edition comes nearly 10 years after the signing of the Great Lakes Compact between the United States and Canada, the Ashland Daily Press notes. It includes chapters on climate change, regional water diversions and the Foxconn project in Racine County.
Annin, in his book, was the first to report that Pleasant Prairie used a loophole in the Compact to divert massive amounts of additional water without public notice.
