Jackson County Chronicle prints final edition

BLACK RIVER FALLS – The Jackson County Chronicle, a weekly newspaper in Black River Falls, announced that Friday’s newspaper would be its last.

The Chronicle, a part of the River Valley Media Group, served Jackson County readers for more than 100 years. It published every Friday and was one of two weekly newspapers in Black River Falls. The Banner Journal, owned by News Publishing Inc., prints on Wednesdays.

In 2010, the Jackson County Chronicle was named Weekly Newspaper of the Year in the WNA Better Newspaper Contest. It also won Best of Division for three straight years from 2012 to 2014.
