Journal Sentinel deputy editor named next president of Milwaukee Press Club

MILWAUKEE – James B. Nelson, deputy business editor and PolitiFact Wisconsin reporter for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, has been named president-elect of the Milwaukee Press Club.

An Appleton native, Nelson also teaches journalism classes part time at Marquette University and is a director on the Milwaukee Press Club Endowment Board. Prior to the Journal Sentinel, Nelson also worked at The (Waukesha) Freeman, Baraboo News Republic and Stoughton Courier Hub.

Nine others were elected to the board, including Mark Kass, editor-in-chief of Milwaukee Business Journal and Corri Hess, reporter for BizTimes. They join four continuing members, including Steve Jagler, business editor at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
