LAKE GENEVA – Travis Northern introduced himself Wednesday as the newest reporter for the Lake Geneva Regional News, though to some he was likely a familiar face.

Northern, who recently graduated from UW-Parkside with an English degree, grew up in Genoa City and went to high school in Lake Geneva. While at Parkside, Northern covered the satire beat for The Ranger News student newspaper.

As he returned to the “place of my youth,” Northern said he hoped his history with the community would allow him to “make a purposeful contribution to our local journalism.”
