Woodward Communications, Inc., parent company of four Wisconsin newspapers, has added the Anamosa Journal-Eureka to its portfolio of weekly newspapers.
The newspaper will become part of WCI’s Woodward Community Media division, which also includes Unified Newspaper Group’s four suburban Madison publications, the Fitchburg Star, Oregon Observer, Stoughton Courier Hub and Verona Press.
“We chose to sell to Woodward Communications because of their commitment to community newspapers,” co-owner Jim Johnson said in an Oregon Observer article.
In September 2017, WCI also acquired West Branch Communications, which includes seven weekly newspapers in Iowa.
