GREEN BAY – An encounter last winter with a man who was recording video inside and outside of Green Bay police headquarters has resulted in the discipline of three officers, the commendation of one officer and the application of a coating to the building’s windows that makes it harder to see inside, Doug Schneider of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reported.
Self-described “First Amendment auditor” Scott Kosbab of Oneida was filming from the sidewalk outside the police station on Jan. 15 when he was taken to the ground by one of the department’s detectives, Schneider wrote. Kosbab was detained inside the station for about 20 minutes before being released with no charges filed.
An internal investigation of the incident resulted in a 90-page report detailing the findings.
