Michael Aubinger, the late publisher and editor of The Press in Ashwaubenon and president of the village of Ashwaubenon, was honored posthumously Oct. 18 with the Tim Quigley Tourism Award.

The award was presented by the Greater Green Bay Convention and Visitor’s Bureau (CVB) during the group’s fall luncheon. Board member Pat Olejniczak said Aubinger was a huge supporter of the CVB and tourism who loved his community and served it well.

Aubinger’s name will be displayed on the wall of the CVB along with other individuals who have made a difference in the community.

Aubinger died March 30, 2017, while battling melanoma cancer.
