Former Milwaukee Journal promotion manager Harvey Kroboth dies at 94

Harvey Leonard Kroboth, a former longtime member of The Milwaukee Journal advertising department, died Aug. 6 in Riverside, Calif. He was 94.

After graduating from Milwaukee Art School, Kroboth worked at Gimbels and J.C. Penney before joining the copy service department of The Journal in 1952. Eventually, he moved up to promotion manager and went on to spend the rest of his career at The Journal until retiring in 1980.

Bryann Bozeman joins UNG advertising staff

Bryann Bozeman has joined the advertising staff at Unified Newspaper Group as a customer relationship coordinator, UNG announced Monday.

Serving as a link between account executives and their advertising clients, Bozeman will be responsible for ensuring quality advertising, marketing and customer service for UNG advertisers.

National Newspaper Week set for Oct. 4-10

The 80th annual National Newspaper Week, a celebration of the impact newspapers have in their communities, will be observed Oct. 4-10. This year’s theme is “America Needs Journalists.”

The annual effort, which makes content available to newspapers nationwide, is sponsored by Newspaper Association Managers, Inc., a consortium of North American trade associations representing the industry.
