Entry Title: Capturing the scenes at the "Hands Off!" protests in Appleton
    Entry Credit: Bill Glasheen
Judge Comment: Great creativity and use of camera position/perspective while capturing emotion of subjects. I felt like I was there, and the photographer got right into the action, resulting in stellar shots.
  • Place Name: Second Place
    Contestant Name: Oshkosh Northwestern
Entry Title: Winnebago County Fair punches its ticket for fair weather
    Entry Credit: Gary Klein
Judge Comment: Tack sharp and great camera control. Strong emotion. I'd play around with frame-within-a-frame, lower perspective or other camera tricks to make it stand out.
  • Place Name: Third Place

    Entry Title: Fire in Watertown
    Entry Credit: Ed Zagorski
Judge Comment: Good action shot and use of rule of thirds. More emotion in faces or unique perspective would have improved the image.

Judge Comment: Great use of foreground to add interest to the image, but having a subject in the frame would have improved the overall image and impact on the reader.
