  • Place Name: First Place
    Contestant Name: The Sheboygan Press
Entry Title: Wade House receives rare Abbot-Downing Concord Stagecoach from Wells Fargo collection

Judge Comment: The story is interesting, with great pictures. The article length is good for telling the story without losing the reader. Generally speaking, the amount of detail and description is very good, with the exception of the failure to explain what was meant by the term, "hotel style".

    Entry Credit: Caitlin Shuda
Judge Comment: The article is concise in delivering the information most important to the reader, while also generating interest in the restaurant. There were a couple of grammatical errors, however.
  • Place Name: Third Place
    Contestant Name: Herald Times Reporter
Entry Title: Hope, community drove search for Elijah Vue. Two Rivers leaders reflect one year later.
    Entry Credit: Alisa Schafer
Judge Comment: The reporter does a good job of providing a recap of what was a very significant community event. There were a few spots where the writing could have been clearer in its explanations.
