    Judge Comment: Well-written editorials, laying out your position clearly and in detail. You not only offer criticism, but also possible solutions. And the third entry should be run in every newspaper in every state.

    Entry Title: City doing the telling, not the listening/Too much history not always a good thing/Unstoppable force runs into immovable object

    Judge Comment: An important series of editorials that both shone light on the actions of electeds, and then caused those actions to change. An excellent example of the importance of local journalism. Well done.
  • Competition Comment: I would like to have made this a tie, as the two entries were quite different but both well-done and important. If you can do that, please do so with my blessing.
