    Judge Comment: A tough subject to tackle on a touchy subject. Fine effort well handled and compelling to reead.

    Entry Title: Whitewater police chief investigation still ongoing

    Judge Comment: Another fine entry that was well written but left us not knowing if there was difficulty in getting the information or the authorities were forthcoming.
  • Competition Comment: These entries were among the best I have read in judging professional competitions, much less student competitions. These students demonstrate they are going to make fine journalists in the future.
